I've been taking Amberen for 6 weeks, and I am hot flash/night sweat free! The product started working after 3 days. I took the 1 dose a day in the morning. I did experience numbness in my face. When I called, they said that was a side effect of menopause and to take 2 doses a day. This had worked wonders for me. I took the package to my GYN, and she said she would rather have me take this than HRT. With this product, my body adjusts to the lack of estrogen. With HRT, it's giving my body what it is lacking instead of adjusting to not having it. I'm ordering my second round today.

I've been taking the Amberen for almost 3 months now. The "nurse" told me to take the "B" plan because after 1 month I was seeing no results. I'm having major issues with constipation and still no relief. I took HRT for almost 5 years and really really wanted to use something natural...this is just not working. I'll finish up what I have left because I've put in $150.00 so far, but I'm guessing it isn't going to get any better. If it does, I'll come back and retract.

I just received my Amberen yesterday and took the first dose today. Just so everyone knows, I haven't had a period in almost 10 years and was temporarily on HRT. The HRT only helped a bit and did more harm than good. I have very fibrous breast tissue and during a routine Mammo, had a big scare. I stopped the therapy and figured I would rather deal with the night sweats and hot flashes. Luckily, I never had other symptoms. None of the OTC products worked, which led me to Amberen. The bottom line is, all we can do is try. We all have different metabolism's, so what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. I'm keeping an open mind and time will tell. I'll keep you all posted.

I am 57 and have been undergoing the transition of menopause since I was 42. My biggest complaint has been the hot flashes and unbelievable night sweats that occurred up to 8 or 9 times a night and at least 5-6 times daily. Living in AZ doesn't help. I've used additional supplements and vitamins for the past ten years, exercise religiously, am average weight and height, am married, and work a low stress job with special needs students. I tried Amberen due to the all natural ingredients and no side affects. I was skeptical but willing and very glad that I did. The first day I had one night sweat. After that the night sweats and hot flashes completely disappeared! I truly did not expect that to happen. I've even switched times for taking Amberen--sometimes later in the day or earlier and it hasn't failed me yet. I am ALSO LOSING WEIGHT (with exercise still as a part of my regimen) and have lost ten pounds in the ten days I have been taking Amberen. Priot to Amberen I was gaining weight. I haven't had a menses since Dec., and did notice that once I took Amberen my libido increased (to my husband's pleasure), moisture has definitely increased for better lubrication, and a bit of menses like spotting has occurred but nothing of any great amount. My nipples have also become a bit more sensitive, and perhaps stimulated by the Amberen. I've taken Amberen for about ten days now, and I will swear by it, have told all my family and friends about it, and feel if there's nothing to lose health-wise or any risks involved everyone undergoing intense menopause symptoms should give it a shot. What do you have to lose but a few dollars for a possible permanent relief. Also, I've NEVER SLEPT BETTER since the first day I started taking Amberen. To me Amberen is a lifesaver and now I can resume a normal sex life with my husband again. Thanks Amberen! My husband thanks you, too!

I just ordered the Amberen 3 days ago in a desperate attempt to try to feel better. I have read all the review and sure hope this helps me but I am now skeptical! I have very bad mood swings, weight gain and CANNOT lose it, sever hot flashes day and night and can never sleep a full night!!! If anyone finds a product thats is better or helps any of the above symptoms please let me know. And I will let everyone know how Amberen does for me.

I have had problems with hot flashes averaging 8-10 per day, and luckily only 1-2 at night. I was on HRT for 7 years and it worked very well, but had to go off last year due to bloating and cramping. I saw no improvement after taking Amberen for 2 weeks, and was told by the online nurse to double the dose. It has been a little over 2 weeks of that, and there is maybe a slight improvement--5-6 hot flashes per day. I will probably finish the 2nd box, and if there's no further improvement, I will return the 3rd box for a partial refund. The question is whether I want to have to pay for a double dose ($300) for minimal results. Probably not. I was really hoping this would help.

Well, day 16 now. Wow, I think I am feeling like my old self again. I just thought it was age. I have more energy, focus, and desire to do things...thanks. I was not expecting that. I just wanted to be rid of hot flashes which by the way are better, not gone but better. I expected some backlash from going off my Premarin but I have to say I just feel better. All and all very happy with my decision to change and will keep everyone updated as time goes on:)
